I just stumbled across a cool career website, targeted just for women! I found it while I was "googling" career fairs in Boston. It's a cool site with great resources and there are some great career fairs (a bit pricey but check them out!)

Why not keep some of your social networking sites for friends only? After all, they are SOCIAL networking sites, not PROFESSIONAL networking sites. You can certainly utilize social networking sites for professional networking, but I don't see why you should want to make all of them professional spaces. You wouldn't tell all your friends you can't stop hanging out with them, because you would rather spend all of your spare time hanging out with people who can help you progress in your career, so why do that on the internet?
